Freedom


          “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.[1]  I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.[2]   I was born in a free country and I will die in a free country, even if I have to die in my attempts to keep it free.  I had a man tell me that since 1950 we have lost forty percent of our freedoms.  I do not intend to pass on to my children and grandchildren a country less free than I was given. 

          The progressives have been with us since this country was founded; however, it wasn’t until recently that they seem to have gotten the upper hand.  They have tried to fundamentally change our country in the past but were thwarted in their efforts by right thinking Americans.  The thwarting in today’s political situation has just recently gotten started.   “A little rebellion now and then...is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.”[3]  If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”[4]  A step in this direction is being taken with the ‘Freedom of Information’ act, or whatever name they are using now.Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper.”[5]  The ‘mainstream press’ is replete in their efforts to silence the opposition views by not reporting the real and complete news.  They look on us as sheep that need to be led.

          If you believe in your heart that there are those who know better how you should live your life, then you are the problem.   Our founding fathers knew how our country should be governed in order to be successful.  What has happened in the last two hundred years that we have lost track of our roots?  A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.”[6]  Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty.”[7]   We managed to survive the Wilson administration, and we will survive the Obama administration.  If we can throw a monkey wrench into the progressive’s attempts, through our vote or refusing to go along with the things we know are unconstitutional, we must. 

          There is a difference between manly and macho.  A man knows who and what he is and that he doesn’t have to prove himself to anyone.  Macho is the act of trying to prove to yourself and/or the rest of the world that you are a man.  It therefore takes quite a bit to provoke a man to anger.  Those founded in the fundamentals of our country are usually manly.  You have to push them quite a way before they rise up to fight; such as in the ‘Tea party’ movement.  You can kill us, but you cannot defeat us.  The vitriol that has come from the progressives because of Americans standing up for their constitution is truly mind boggling.  When some one calls you a racist, bigot, homophobe or other politically sensitive and incendiary name, please answer in the following manner – ‘and this is coming from someone who crawled out of the scum pond of progressivism?’  These names are being used by the progressives against those in the tea party movement in an attempt to belittle the movement and to dismiss the movement as radical and unimportant.  The tea party movement is very close to how our country came into being. 

          The sour grapes folks are now in charge of the government.  Call it socialist, progressive or Marxist, they are the folks that lost the battle in the sixties.  Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence”.[8]  We know that many of our elected officials, regardless of party, are liars.  Of this, there is no doubt.  What is so embarrassing about it is the blatantness with which they lie; and how easily they are caught in their lies.  They don’t even apologize when they are proven to be lying.  Overseas we are looked on with distain because of our government’s forays into untruthfulness.  In the past, other nations respected and feared us, but today they laugh at us.  What freedoms we have left are in jeopardy if the world thinks we are weak. 

          In the past I have told you about Saul Alinsky.[9]  I stated that I thought that Alinsky was one of the most dangerous men in history.[10]  Now I introduce you to another conspirator in the progressive movement.  First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven (today Piven is an honorary chair for the Democratic Socialists of America), the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.”[11]  These are just examples of the people in the past that would fundamentally change the United States of America.  Our problem is that today, those in charge are disciples of these schools of thought.  Further information, on these people and others I will introduce you to in the future, is available all over the internet.
